Dry needling is a therapeutic technique where a thin needle is inserted into specific muscle knots or trigger points to release tension, reduce pain, and improve muscle function. Unlike acupuncture, dry needling targets specific areas of muscle dysfunction, helping to break up tightness and increase blood flow. It can be a highly effective treatment for muscle pain, stiffness, and limited mobility, and is often used in conjunction with other physical therapy treatments to enhance recovery.
